A blind rivet, often called a pop rivet, is a permanent mechanical fastener designed for use when access is only available from one side of the workpiece. It consists of a tubular rivet body and a mandrel. When installed with a rivet gun, the mandrel pulls the body to expand and clamp materials together before snapping off. Blind rivets create a strong, vibration-resistant joint without the need for tapping or welding.
